This Pointe-Claire homeowner had lived with a closed-off galley kitchen for fifteen years. The wall separating the kitchen from the family room had to come down — but it was load-bearing, so we engineered an LVL beam to carry the upper level before opening the space.
We installed full-height custom shaker cabinetry in a warm off-white, paired with a navy island as the visual anchor of the room. Quartz countertops, a herringbone backsplash, brass hardware, and layered pendant + recessed lighting bring it all together. The family now has the heart-of-home kitchen they always pictured.
